We have been hearing rumors about a potential Windows RT Nokia tablet for quite a while now, though since the end of August numerous leaks have surfaced on the web showcasing hardware and internal features as well as software.
The renowned mobile tech whistle blower @evleaks, tweeted two pictures of the forthcoming tablet. One in red and the other one dressed in Nokia’s classic cyan color – the one that the Lumia 800 came in.
The Nokia Lumia 2520, as known as Sirius, will exhibit identical design elements to the smartphone Lumia line up – since it belongs to that family – and will run Microsoft’s Windows RT. Reportedly, under the hood the tablet will feature Qualcomm’s latest and most powerful mobile CPU, the quad core Snapdragon 800 clocked at 2.3GHz alongside with Adreno 330 GPU for premiere 3D gaming experience and 2 gigs of memory.
Recent analysis also suggests that the device will sport a Full HD 10.1-inch display with IPS technology implemented for sharp viewing angles. Storage wise the Sirius will offer 32GB expandable via microSD.
The most plausible scenario in terms of announcement date regarding the Lumia 2520, is October 22 during the Nokia World event alongside the upcoming Windows Phone flagship handset of the Fin company, the Lumia 1520. Save the date folks.
